Kyrah began Motocross racing at an age of 21. It was Ryan Bright, her boyfriend who encouraged her into taking up racing as a career option. He has been teaching her throughout the year and has always been there for her with a positive influence that he carries being a professional racer and also the president and founder of Bright’s Racing. It was beginning to race in the first place that Kyrah considers as one of her top achievements since it was a lot harder than she expected. She considers the experience she gains by continuously getting the opportunity to race, learn and meet other professionals as the most valuable and exciting part of her career. She has gained a higher level of comfort in riding and noticeable improvement with each progress that she has made throughout her first year in racing. This motivates and pushes her to keep improving results in better finishes.
Next season Kyrah will be moving up to the Ladies Pro class and will be on a new KTM 450SX for the 2010 race season. Her team Bright’s Racing was formed in the small town of Petrolia Ontario Canada and is a new, young and privateer ATV race team. They have both male and female riders competing in open automatic, ladies, junior, intermediate, pro am and pro ATV classes. The main focus of ATV racing team is motocross but it also has riders competing in cross country and obstacross.

Her education includes Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Childhood & Social Institutions from University of Western Ontario where she graduated in April 2009. When she is not training or actively participating in the sport, she spends most of the time with her Boyfriend, friends and family. She also likes to work out, besides volunteering and working for her team and social causes. Her other interests include Modeling, which is something she already does and would also like to pursue alongside racing in the future. Her advice to youngsters or children starting out racing and aspiring to reach higher levels of skills is “Don’t expect or think you’re going to be the best as soon as you start. It takes time, so practice, practice, practice.”
